(v.2, #20, published by The White Lodge, copyright 1980) "The Goddess of Purity, another of the great beings serving on the fourth ray of purity, says, 'I ask you to ponder this problem of identity and of choice. I ask you to consider seriously what choices you have made in this life, where you are going, what is your goal, what is your destiny. I ask you to seriously consider whether the present course of your life is worth all of the turmoil, all of the struggle, all of the pain. Ask yourself, What will I gain at the end of the road? Is it the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, the reward of selflessness, the merging with the Real Self? Or will it be another round because of a loss of perspective, a loss of vision? 'I consider this a rare moment of communion with your soul, beceause your soul's communion with the Karmic Board that took place before you came into incarnation was a time of introspection, of looking back and looking forward, and saying, "All right, I will go forth! I will overcome! This time I will conquer!" Those were your words. And here I am to remind you of your inner vows, your commitment to the flame. And I come with the flame of purity and legions of purity to reinforce your inner vow and to say, In the name of Almighty God, surrender to your Real Self! You do not have to surrender to me or to this messenger or any other person. But surrender to the flame within! It is your God-reality.' If you can just speak those words within your heart, she has promised that her angels will come to fortify you as they came and strengthened Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane when he asked to be relieved of that cup which we also must drink. When he spoke the words 'Nevertheless, not my will but thine be done,' then the angels were allowed to reinforce his will. Once the commitment was made, and once you also make that same commitment to your own Reality, then you too will be reinforced and the angelic host will be only too happy to help you bear your burden. There are so many cosmic helpers along the way, so many friends of light whom we cannot see with our physical eyes, who are just standing by, waiting anxiously for our invitation to enter our worlds. The Goddess of Purity's final words of admonishment to us are: 'Pursue, then, God-identity, God-reality! And keep on keeping on! For you know, there comes a time when you are one-millionth of a microsecond from victory. And if you hesitate, and if you question, you can still lose the victory. And therefore, be not assured of the self but of the Self that is God. Be humble before that Self and be ready at every hour to defend Selfhood and love in all life.' There is another ingredient which is absolutely essential to our victory in achieving the goal of the ascension at the end of this lifetime on earth. And that is the maintaining of harmony in our worlds. Gabriel explains this concept to us: 'Today many individuals are continuously absorbed in a round of alternating moods of joy and depression. One moment they are up, and then like a roller coaster, whoops! down they go into the valley of delusion and unhappiness.' In case you think it is an impossibility to maintain harmony in the face of the problems you encounter in your day-to-day life, Gabriel encourages us by saying that it is possible--that, indeed, this attainment is not far from us. He says that he exceeds us only by rounds and revolutions of light-years which he has traversed without departing from the flame of God-harmony. He says that the problem which students of the light face is the tremendous buildup of energy within a weak matrix; and this matrix cannot contain the light. Therefore this matrix, which is our emotional body, cracks when it becomes so filled with light and yet is still undisciplined. He charges us to be determined to maintain peace no matter what the outer conditions. The masters have more light and more energy they would desire to give us, but he says, 'It is a question of mathematics. You do not place fifty pounds of lead in a tissue sack. It will break, it will tear. Therefore, fortify your chakras and your lower bodies by the spiritual exercise of harmony.' God Harmony, a cosmic being who ensouls the flame of harmony, reiterates this teaching of the archangels and explains this concept still further. He says that no matter how much the saints call for more light, 'that which can be given must be adjusted according to cosmic law as to what, you might say, the traffic will bear.' He wants us to understand how 'the ascended masters make karma in delivering unto an unascended chela more light than that chela can hold in balance. That supreme magnet of love harmonious is all-attractive of all good and all-repelling of all evil. Therefore, those who would survive when the earth is in chaos and disintegration and death must understand clearly that the antidote for all of this is the purity of harmony. 'Harmony is a science, even as music is a science. Harmony then is the balance of light, of sun centers, electronic forcefields. When there is balance, then there is harmony. When there is balance and harmony, then and then only can there be acceleration. 'You may have wondrous gifts of virtue, but often in a lifetime or many lifetimes an individual lifestream does not exceed a certain level of attainment professionally or a certain level of virtue because the individual reaches the line where there is no longer balance, where he cannot carry into an accelerated momentum that virtue which may function at a lesser vibration. 'Take, for example, a top that spins. In order to spin, it must have a certain acceleration and a certain balance. Thus when the law of harmony functioning within you goes below the level of a certain acceleration, it can no longer be maintained. And this is when discord enters in with disintegration and ultimately self-destruction. Thus in order to have the key of harmony, you must have the key of acceleration of love. 'Wherever energy is tied in knots of self-deception, of dissonance, of selfishness, of hatred--all of these manifestations, including anxiety itself, cause the deceleration of that which is God-harmony within the fiery core of the threefold flame itself. Thus when the momentum of dissonance becomes too great, the top of the threefold flame cannot spin. When its three plumes are of differing height, out of balance, it cannot spin and therefore the resurrection fires do not glow.' Under normal conditions many individuals may express patience or mercy or kindness or any number of admirable qualities, but as soon as stress or uncertainty or anxiety is introduced into their life, then this person can no longer maintain the flame of harmony. The violet flame and intensive calls to Archangel Gabriel and Elohim Astrea for more purity and to God Harmony to teach you how to hold the balance in these difficult times at the end of the age is the way to individual and eventually to planetary victory. Where your consciousness is basically a 'sea of light with islands of darkeness, these islands can be inundated with the flame of love and freedom and transmutation, and therefore they can be readily dissolved.' However, God Harmony says, 'when individuals are not attentive to maintaining the cosmic sea of consciousness and they allow the precious gift of the receptacle of Life to now become more and more dominated by larger and larger islands of blackness and despair, sins that go unconfessed, these islands become continents and soon they occupy more space and time within the energy field than the sea of light--and they swallow up that sea. And therefore the individual has not the ability to press forward and to accelerate any gift of Life, any flame of creativity, or to see through the completion of a simple project.' The Goddess of Purity teaches this same concept and relates it by her own flame of purity to the ascension. She says: 'As the ascending pyramid reveals the narrowness of the Path until the Path becomes a point where only that which is real can abide, so understand that portions of the lower self, the baggage of life, must be left along the way. For life is a process of unburdening oneself of excess, of possessiveness, of all sorts of possessions, of prejudices and anathemas and ways that seem right. To have that victory, you must be willing to lay being and consciousness on the line of reality, on the line of the Real Self. 'How is this to be done when discrimination is lacking in the world? It comes by applying the law and the teachings of the ascended masters. It comes by studying the law and observing the corollaries of the law as these are applied in daily practice. It comes by listening. It comes, above all, by harmony.' Saint Germain has told us in his Studies in Alchemy that 'Light is the alchemical key.' God Harmony says, 'May God-harmony provide you with the key to light--which itself is the alchemical key. Thus harmony is the key to the key. 'Think upon these words and ask yourself this question: "How many doors will I pass through, how many keys must I find to finally enter into the holy of holies of my very own God being?" 'In the flame of God-harmony, I release to your heart the answer to your question. I send you forth on a mission for the self-sustainment of harmony. It is, my beloved, the key to the crucifixion.'
